BUDDHISM
http://www.katsden.com/webster/buddha.html
Buddhism is a
non-dogmatic tradition based on respect for Buddha and his teachings.
It is also the art of living in the present moment.
The Buddha did not wish any of his followers to accept his teaching based on trust.
He invited to try them out, experiment, and if they worked in practice --to use them. Each one of us must find the truth for ourselves, and
respect the right of others to do the same. Buddha himself conducted his own search for spiritual truth.
There are a large number of
buddhist sects and spiritual practices associated with Buddhism. The best advice I can offer is, if you are truly interested in the teachings
of Buddha, locate a Buddhist meditation group or center in your local area and find a teacher to help guide you.
For any of you living in or near Tampa Florida, I can highly recommend:

May
all beings have happiness and the causes of happiness.
May all
beings be away from sorrow and the causes of sorrow.
May all beings
never be separated from the great happiness that is sorrowless.
May
all leave attachment to dear ones and aversion to others,
and live
believing in the equality of all that lives.
