TWIN THINGS

She was the "good" twin, I was the "bad" or "evil" one. That means for the first ten or so years of our lives I talked Jan into some interesting and usually naughty adventures. Her leaning toward caution kept us out of serious trouble more than once. I have no idea how my mother survived this constant onslaught of dual complicity. Jan is right-handed and she patiently taught her left-handed clone (me) how to write in Palmer method, knit and do other tasks by sitting across the table from me. This helped me survive Catholic grammar school -- an educational system that had little tolerance for left-handers back then. We stopped switching places in school on April Fool's Day - it got very boring when no one even noticed we had done it. When we graduated from highschool, we had a difference of a quarter point in grade point average.

We now live in separate states but have continued to enjoy a feeling of closeness or a "twin thing" as we refer to it. We use the Internet to keep each other up to date on our paths and adventures of adulthood. Thank you Jan (my "sin twister") for suggesting I add this listing to my current home page.
